I am writer and consultant, having recently moved from rural Somerset to Liverpool.  My academic background is in theology, church history, and education.  I use weaving, felt and linocut printing to make art.  I am interested in rare breed sheep, vintage textiles, and domestic social history.  I think the Singer hand-crank sewing machine and the Series I Land Rover are design classics.  I take an informed interest in rural and farming issues, and am committed to supporting local food producers and businesses.  I also like to cook, eat, drink, grow some vegetables, listen to the radio, knit, and read whodunits.
